SUMMER OUTING
1st July 2026

The Misbourne Club Summer Outing 2026

Wednesday 1st July 2026 to Oaken Grove Vineyard.

The club’s summer outing this year will be to Oaken Grove Vineyard, a family‑run boutique estate set just outside Henley‑on‑Thames, around 40 minutes by car from Amersham.

Established in 1986, Oaken Grove cultivates seven acres of Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Madeleine Angevine vines. On arrival, we will enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard, including insights into its history, the development of the English wine industry, modern growing methods, and what it takes to run a boutique wine business today.

The tour will be followed by a guided tasting of their range of three still and two sparkling wines. As we taste, we’ll explore the winemaking techniques behind each wine and how these compare with methods used in other wine‑producing regions around the world.

After the tasting, we will sit down to a relaxed lunch of sharing platters, featuring local cheeses, charcuterie, crackers and accompaniments. Unlimited tea and coffee will also be available.

The cost for the tour, tasting and lunch is £40 per person. As usual it is open to members, wives and partners.

If you would like to attend, please email Peter Spring with your name and number attending at misbourneclubsec@gmail.com by 12th May.

Further details and the request for payment will be sent out in early June.
